Welcome newcomers and interfaith families!
Beth Shalom is based in Lake Norman, NC and serves the Jewish Community of North Mecklenburg, South Iredell & surrounding counties. We offer a casual, family-friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment.

Beth Shalom has something for everyone.

We offer Shabbat services the first Friday night of every month and the following Saturday morning. Services are held at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Davidson. Additional Friday night services are held the second Friday of each month at Davidson College.

Religious school is offered for children in pre-school through grade 7, through the Beth Shalom Center for Jewish Learning, on Thursdays starting at 4:15 at St. Alban's. The children enjoy singing, dancing and praying as well as Hebrew school, holiday celebrations and Judaica lessons.

Adult Education allows our adult Jewish congregation and guests the opportunity to gain perspective through education and discussion. We offer adult evenings, often held the first Saturday night of each month, as part of our weekend Shabbaton. We also provide additional opportunities for adult learning, including Hebrew classes and song/prayer lessons.

Life cycle events are presided over by our Rabbi. Members of Beth Shalom enjoy reciprocal membership at our affiliate congregation, Temple Israel, in Charlotte. This affiliation provides Beth Shalom members the opportunity to attend Temple Israel services and participate in TI events at member rates, as well as benefit from the rabbinical leadership of Rabbi Ezring.
